
January 1952 edition, which featured the first installment of The Demolished Man
Galaxy Science Fiction, from September 1958 on called Galaxy Magazine, was a science fiction periodical, well respected during the 1950s and 1960s. It was in print from 1950 to 1980. In January 1952, it began serializing The Demolished Man by Alfred Bester, for which Vonnegut would write an introduction for the 1986 Easton Press edition. Vonnegut published two early short stories in it. In December 1961, it ran one of the few reviews of The Sirens of Titan after it was reprinted in hardcover.[1]
