Valencia Pilgrim was the wife of Billy Pilgrim, and the daughter of an optometrist, who gave Billy his work after marrying his daughter. In 1968 Billy and her father were in an airplane crash and Billy was transported to a hospital. While driving to the hospital, she got into a car crash and ended up dying.
She was described as a very large and obese woman, nearly crushing the weak Billy in bed. However, when she married Billy, she promised to lose weight for him.
